On the End Project Report

The End Project Report is the Project Manager’s opportunity to analyse and measure the performance of the project against the objectives and metrics spelt out in the Project Initiation Document.

> End of Project Report

Did we achieve our objectives agreed in the Project Initiation Document? What issues were encountered? What was the impact of changes? What was the level of quality achieved? Is the customer happy?

The Project Board will be very keen to see (and report to their respective bosses) on the successes and failures of the project. So it is important to be careful when writing your report – keep it professional and focus your analysis on hard facts – use your risk and issue logs to support your assertions. While most project documentation rarely sees the light of day once the project has been completed, final reports such as this tend to have long legs both horizontally and vertically within the organisation. Don’t be surprise to see your End Project Report statistics quoted in internal newsletters, annual reports and corporate board reports.

DIY Monitor Strip Calendar

The simplest Project Hacks are often the coolest!

No need for too much explanation here as we’ve all been in a position where we’ve needed a calendar when our computers are off or not logged in. I like this because I also try to keep my work area clean without too many pieces of paper stuck up on the partition wall.

vertical or horizontal monitor strip calendar for project teams

If you’re a desk-bound Project Manager or team member, give this vertical or horizontal monitor strip calendara go.  I’ve seen versions with supplier advertising on it but I’ve always tried to remain vendor-neutral and this is a good way to go about it.
